For over sixty years, the Australian Youth Orchestra (AYO) has been training Australia’s most talented young musicians, giving them the necessary skills, guidance and inspiration they need to become professional musicians.
AYO alumni are represented in every professional orchestra and ensemble in Australia, and many more overseas.

We believe in giving young musicians the very best opportunities to succeed and excel.
The Australian Youth Orchestra strives to ensure that every qualified musician has the opportunity to participate no matter where they live or their financial situation. Without scholarships many outstanding young musicians will simply not be able to afford to take their musical careers to the next stage.
Your donation will help the AYO raise $20,000 to provide scholarships for 20 musicians to participate in the Australian Youth Orchestra in 2011.
