Australia Tibet Council Ltd
Australia Tibet Council (ATC) works to promote the human rights and democratic freedoms of the Tibetan people. ATC is an independent, non-profit Australian organisation funded solely by members and supporters.
ATC undertakes a range of campaigns and advocacy work including promoting support for negotiations between the Dalai Lama and the Chinese government to reach a just resolution to the Tibet situation; promotion of religious and cultural freedom and human rights, particularly in the case of Tibetan political prisoners; and the protection of the Tibetan environment and the prevention of the inappropriate exploitation of Tibetan resources.

This year I want to help the Tibetan People directly by taking part in the Australia Tibet Council (ATO) event

Trek for Tibet Information

14 Day tour of the Tibetan Refugee community in Northern India. 6 days will be spent trekking through the spectacular Himalayan foothills, visiting small villages and gaining a unique exposure to the daily life of the people of Dharamsala and surrounds.
I need your help to raise funds for this amazing event. Your donation will help to fund the Australia Tibet Councils important work. I hope to:
# Make a valuable contribution to the continued work of the ATC.
# Gain a deeper understanding of the situation in Tibet and an ‘insiders’ view into the exile Tibetan community in Dharamsala.
