Benefits of using Online Giving Foundation Ltd
We are a not-for-profit ourselves
so our goals are closely aligned with those of our charity and not-for-profit partners. In line with our mission, it’s free for fundraisers and charities to register with us and there are no ongoing fees. To ensure our sustainability and cover our operating costs, we do charge a small administration fee of 5% of online donations and pass on the bank's credit card processing fees (0.9% + 46c per transaction). Using Online Giving means charities only pay when they receive donations, and is much more cost effective than most charities’ existing cost structures. This means that more money gets to where it's needed most – to your end cause.
Raise more money:
by getting supporters of your charity to create their own Online Giving pages and asking their friends and family to sponsor them, charities often receive donations from people that they otherwise would not reach. As potential donors can see their friend's fundraising target and amount raised real-time, this often encourages them to dig deep when making a donation and leaving messages of support on their friend's fundraising page. Studies in the US have found that 2-3 times more money is raised for charity using personalised fundraising pages than more traditional methods and our track record supports these results.
Attract more donors and awareness for your charity:
using Online Giving allows fundraisers to help market their chosen charity, as donors see their charity's logo and description on all relevant fundraising pages.
Simple, quick and secure web site:
we do all the leg work, from collecting donations to issuing receipts. We also send you comprehensive reporting monthly of donations and fundraising pages established for your charity. Online Giving has partnered with Westpac, Secure Pay and Thawte to process all credit card payments through our site. For any page within our site that collects sensitive information, such as credit card details, Online Giving uses a 128-bit SSL certificate to encrypt the data before it is transmitted over the internet.
Online Giving is committed to professional and ethical fundraising:
we commit to the timely transfer of donations to charities monthly and are audited by Aintree Group Accountants, so we meet the strict standards expected by Online Giving and our charity partners.
